Saturated fat

Saturated fat is a type of dietary fat that is solid at room temperature and is primarily found in animal products, such as meat and dairy, as well as some plant oils, like coconut and palm oil. It is characterized by having no double bonds between carbon atoms in its fatty acid chains, which can raise levels of LDL cholesterol in the blood and is associated with an increased risk of heart disease when consumed in excess.
